Frank Higgins is a playwright and poet.  As a poet, publishing Starting From Ellis Island and American Haiku and Eating Blowfish. His plays Black Pearl Sings!,  The Sweet By’n’By and Gunplay: A Play About America, which had scenes read on Capitol Hill, have been produced around the country.    He taught for many years in the Young Audiences’ program Artists-in-the-Schools in Missouri an Kansas.  And recently retired following many years teaching playwriting at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  He is a member of the Dramatists Guild, and the Haiku Society of America.
